How Grammy got her groove back…

Okay, I’m not technically a grammy yet, but I did get my groove back yesterday after CGMan left.

All it took was a little Christmas music (think Neil Diamond and John Denver with the Muppets) and a bottle glass of wine. Wine always makes Grammy groovy.

Christmas makes some feel especially lovey.

Isn’t there a story about a Christmas mouse? Cuz I have one of those, too.

If CGMan didn’t love turkey so much, I could totally skip Thanksgiving and go from Mother’s Day straight to Christmas.  That’s just the way I roll.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering:

  1. I like your tree! It's colourful and happy.

My dad came over on the weekend and helped to get the Christmas lights up outside, but it'll be a few weeks before I decorate inside.

  2. Santa's elves better watch out! They've got some competition!

  3. Beautiful! I wish I had the gumption to get my trees up (yes, plural) before Thanksgiving. I have so much to do on my to-do list still that I don't think I can add in lugging 500-eleventy billion rubbermaid tubs and all the trees upstairs and then back down again before family arrives.

  4. Stop it! No count down to Christmas. I have to get through Thanksgiving for 40 people first!

  5. Great job and beautiful tree! Wish it was mine and already done :)

Less than a week now Grammy! Can't wait to see your precious baby boy pictures !!

  6. I love it! Go Grammy! I love Neil Diamond's Christmas album, it is one of my favorites.

  7. Yaaaayy! I love your enthusiasm! I'm so glad you're on board with me about an early Christmas :) The weekend after Thanksgiving (if I don't get off early of the day after) Jesse and I get our Christmas tree. I love already having some decorations up during Thanksgiving. It's so homey! And Jesse has announced he's passive agressively going to be pulling out the Christmas decorations later this afternoon.

  8. I was looking at LisaPie's comments and remembering back to the days of two trees and "lugging 500-eleventy billion rubbermaid tubs and all the trees" down from upstairs. It was fun when we could do it but Father Time has a way of catching up with you so we'll be leaving all those good times to you younger folks.

We did bring down the maybe eleventy thousand Rubbermaid tubs and the tree this last weekend because our company is coming in next week and staying for a week. Dawn beat us to the decorating part so we'll being playing catch up this weekend.

So - Yaaayy to you for getting it done before your guests arrive and while hubby is out of town!

I would love to hear what you have to say!
