If you saw a heat wave, would you wave back?

You know, I am used to the heat. I am a warm weather, south of the Mason-Dixon line, no-snow loving person. But this? This is killing me.

Yesterday the humidity was 72%. Whatever that means, besides the fact that when you walk outside your skin just starts to drip off.

I read the other day that Seattle has had 78 minutes of temperatures over 80°.
Pack up the dogs! We’re moving to Seattle!!

Wait.

They have snow there. And rain. Lots of rain.
Never mind.

On Monday? You’ll find me inside the Slurpee machine at the 7-11.

  2. What the hell are you going to do on MONDAY???

Oh, wait. That might be a typo.

I'm currently deciding which air conditioned indoor venue to take the kids to this afternoon. Temperature in the 100's? I'M OVER IT.

  3. I'm with BD. So far this year in Dallas we've had 27 days of 100 degrees or more, and today will be the 21st consecutive day, with no relief in sight.

    Yuck...

  4. Being from Seattle I couldn't agree with you more. That is why Matt moved to Phoenix. Yes - it is hot in Phoenix but the humidity isn't anything like you guys have. Saw your daughter last night. Love having a hairdresser in the family - :) Have a good day Dawn.

94 degrees here, but no humidity. Makes a huge difference. Have fun in the slushie machine!

  6. Same here in Boston. I want to fling myself off of a cliff in Maine into the Atlantic ocean.

  7. I didn't know it could get as hot as 9076 degrees.

I'm in Portland, next to Seattle. The rain has been killing us. Last weekend it poured the entire time. There's no middle ground it seems!

  8. Right now, I'd welcome a little heat, but I think that's a bit too much. If you need to cool off, you should come visit me. Our forecast is calling for rain, more rain and - wait for it - more rain.

  9. Ick! It's not even that hot here in Florida. Pick a good flavor slurpee!

  10. My DIL flies into DC on Wednesday. She's gonna be catching a little break from the scorching days down here. Just miserable in the south!
