Did you know…?

…a toothpick is the thing most often choked on by Americans?

…73% of Americans would rather go grocery shopping than floss?

…more people use blue toothbrushes than red ones?

…the average woman smiles about 62 times a day?

…the average man…8 times a day.

…Americans will spend over $2 billion on Halloween candy this year?

…that amount of money could fund the National Institute of of Dental and Craniofacial Research for almost 6 years?

…Protestants, Republicans and women brush their teeth more often than Catholics, Democrats and men?

…that 75% of American adults have periodontal gum disease?

…wisdom teeth usually erupt between the ages of 17 and 21 years.

…most dentists agree that removing wisdom teeth early prevents problems later in life.

…the military agrees and removes wisdom teeth during boot camp, if they have erupted?

…CGman will be having his wisdom teeth removed today? Which is kind of late in life, if you ask me.

…that he has already said the word “infection”?

…it’s going to be a long day?

  1. I guess it just depends on how bad they are , all of mine are gone, 2 of them had to be broken and taken out in pieces, and that was the 2 that hurt the most , the other 2 no problem, was able to eat that day.

  4. That whole "wisdom" thing wasn't really working out for him anyhow.

I hope all goes well. At least he has a loving wife that can be creative with his modified wisdom-less diet.

  5. Oh man, that stinks! I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well. My sister lived off of KFC faux mashed potatoes after she got hers taken out.

  6. I don't know to whom I should feel the sorriest. You or your husband. Here's wishing you both a very good day.

  7. Good luck, Dawn! Although this Catholic would much rather floss than grocery shop. I am a floss addict. I think once you start and form the habit, it really is addictive.

  8. Still have the bottom ones but they told me not to worry at this point. Make your patient eat ice cream later on!

  10. yes it does seem late......did they say why now he has to have them out? I had mine out senior year of high school - I remember the nurse saying she didn't feeling like being in the OR that day (back in the day they did them in the hospital) my Dentist promptly sent her packing........recovery kinda sucked!
